An Otaku now -The report which commented to Sankaku by Clown Jack

Since a comment was not reflected...no good word?

Sankaku "25% of Japanese Now “Otaku”

It is one Japanese's opinion.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I stopped calling myself an Otaku. The now of saying an Otaku is more shameful than ancient times.

That Otaku's image was renewed has influence of "Densha-Otoko"(2004). The Akiba-boom occurred owing to this novel. And "Moe" and "Maid-cafe" was in fashion. After that, An Otaku was generalized through "Haruhi""Touhou""NiconicoDouga".

but, Even if the advertisement of a character like Anime increases and a closing community is activated, innovation is not caused to our life at all. Although surely Slight-Otaku increased in number and the market was expanded, it means only consumers' increase.

From the first, what is an Otaku was a group who finds out another-worth to contents and occasionally creates new contents. Now, the place of the activity shifted from the existing place "anime & comics & game" to the internet. in internet, many and unspecified anonymous human beings gather at random, and create new worth.
An anime doujin and the new service which make the next generation will be borne by the internet. Now, anyone can become "GAINAX".

Any longer, an Otaku is not status. Those who participated in creation have status and can consume an Otaku culture truly. Consuming "Hatsune Miku" is not buying her goods any longer. It
is more important to attend at the moment of her being born. Such a trend is happening here and there now.

A foreign country is not an exception, either. Sankaku, You are sorted out by an apostle or a mere believer. it is dishonorable to merely make noise in the outfield.
I recommend.
Create!!, and let's fight with Ishithara together with us.

  1. I don't like to call myself otaku nowadays either...but at the same time, I feel as though I am more of an otaku than 95% of those who do.

I am a 'Otaku no Video' otaku, I understand passion and creativity as the most important things of otaku culture, not "how many figures do you have?" Those are not otaku, they are consumers with an interest in anime.

Even their attitude to watching anime is wrong: "How many anime series have you watched?" "I watched more so I'm more of an otaku than you".

They watch anime like a termite eats through wood - it's just a different type of consumption. They can't tell you the details of the series or express their passion.

"otaku" is obsession, money does not dictate the otaku. Rich or poor he will still be the same otaku.

There are two parts of the mind: Active and Passive.

The active: The active is motion, it tells us to do. Whether we are running a race or turning on the TV.

The passive: The passive is a sponge, it absorbs what you see, hear, read.

When you create, you are using these two parts in unison, perfectly utilizing your imagination to unleash raw passion from your heart. Something created from the heart is priceless; this is why Garage Kits and Doujinshi is the most important part of otaku culture.
